What is the Dubai Retail Gift Card?
The Dubai Retail Gift Card is a versatile prepaid card that gives you access to over 5,000 stores across 40 malls, destinations and retail centres. It can be used for multiple purchases, from shopping and dining to entertainment, making it the perfect gift for any occasion. The card is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Where can I purchase the Dubai Retail Gift Card?
You can purchase the Dubai Retail Gift Card at Customer Service desks in participating malls or buy the digital version online at giftcard.dubairetail.ae, then exchange it for a physical card at any Customer Service desk. Is there a fee for the Dubai Retail Gift Card?
Yes. A card cost and activation fee of D10 + VAT applies when purchasing the Dubai Retail Gift Card.
Is there a limit to how much I can load onto the Dubai Retail Gift Card?
Yes. You can load a minimum of D50 and a maximum of D3,500 per card, with a total loading limit of D35,000 per individual over 12 months.
Where can I use my Dubai Retail Gift Card?
You can use your Dubai Retail Gift Card at participating stores in Dubai Retail malls, destinations, and retail centres.

The Gift Card cannot be used at stores in the following categories (illustrative, not exhaustive):
i. Financial & Government Services: Banks, financial institutions, government offices
ii. Medical Services: Clinics
iii. Service-Based Businesses: Nurseries, car rentals, etc.
iv. Office & Community Spaces: Office rentals, community leasing
v. Non-Permanent Structures: Kiosks
Can I top up my Dubai Retail Gift Card?
No. The Dubai Retail Gift Card is not reloadable. Once the balance is used, simply purchase a new card for continued convenience.
Do I need to activate my Dubai Retail Gift Card?
Yes. Your Dubai Retail Gift Card must be activated before use.

What is the validity of the Dubai Retail Gift Card?
The Dubai Retail Gift Card is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase at a customer service desk, giving you ample time to enjoy shopping, dining, and leisure experiences across all participating destinations. If you have purchased the gift card online you have up to 12 months to collect your Gift Card from a customer service desk. The card will be valid for 12 months from
date of collection.
Is registration required at the time of purchase?
Yes. Registration is completed during the purchase process. This ensures a smooth experience and allows us to assist you in case of loss or reissue.
How many times can I use my Dubai Retail Gift Card?
You may use your card multiple times during its validity period, provided there is sufficient balance.
What happens to the unused balance after the card expires?
After expiry, any remaining balance will no longer be available for use.
However, you may extend your card’s validity within the 1-month grace period for an additional 3 months from the original expiry date.
How do I redeem my Dubai Retail Gift Card?
The Dubai Retail Gift Card is powered by VISA, allowing seamless redemption at POS (point-of-sale) terminals in participating stores across all Dubai Retail malls, destinations, and retail centres. For the full list of participating locations, click here.
How can I check my card balance?
You can check your balance and validity anytime at giftcard.dubairetail.ae by logging into your account.
What are the modes of payment when purchasing the Dubai Retail Gift Card?
You can purchase the gift card using debit or credit cards online or at Customer Service desks.
Can I use the Dubai Retail Gift Card at an ATM or online?
No. The Dubai Retail Gift Card is designed exclusively for in-store transactions at participating retailers. It cannot be used at ATMs or for online purchases.
Is the card partially redeemable?
Yes. Partial redemptions are supported, allowing you to make purchases of varying amounts until the balance is fully used.
Can I exchange the Dubai Retail Gift Card for cash?
No. The Dubai Retail Gift Card cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded in whole or in part.
Are there fees for reactivation or reissue?
Reactivation: Free (available only within the 1-month grace period for a 3-month extension from the original expiry date).
Reissue (lost or stolen cards): D20 +VAT Replacement cards carry the same validity as the original card.

What should I do if I lose my card or it gets stolen?
Please treat your Dubai Retail Gift Card as cash. If your card is lost or stolen, your first step is to log in to giftcard.dubairetail.ae and use the “Block Card” feature to temporarily prevent its use and protect your funds.
Once the card is blocked, please contact our Customer Support Helpline at 800738245, email customercare@dubailretail.ae, or visit any Customer Service desk for assistance with issuing a replacement. A replacement card will be issued for D20 + ,VAT, subject to verification.
Will the Dubai Retail Gift Card have a security PIN?
Yes. It is mandatory to set a 4-digit security PIN by logging in to giftcard.dubairetail.ae
This PIN is required for all redemption transactions.
Are there any age restrictions for purchasing or redeeming the gift card?
Customers must be 18 years or older to purchase a card. There are no age restrictions for redeeming a gift card, any recipient may use the card.
If the card is lost or stolen, will another card be issued and what is the cost?
Yes. A replacement card may be issued for D20 + VAT
The replacement card will carry the same validity as the original card.
